I had to take down some of my graphics. This page was taking forever to load and sometimes not all of the images would even load. So, I took down a lot and added a few more..lol. I couldn't help it. I found some really cute ones over at Andrea's that I just couldn't pass up! *S*
I have a lot of favorite bible verses, so I thought I'd start sharing one a day with you. This one really hits home for me. This is what helped me make the final decision to homeshool my children, which was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My only regret is that I didn't start from the beginning. It is truly wonderful teaching my kids and watching them grow each day. And I thank the Lord for giving me the ability and patience to do it!

I was finally able to edit my template! I am now one happy camper! Now you can see all the darling blinkies I got from Donna, my award and my cute little snail blinkie I got from Sandy! Woohoo!
There is something that has been weighing on my heart the last few weeks and I decided to share my thoughts on it with you.
Back in Biblical times, the Israelites worshipped statues. Well, today we as Christians probably don't have a golden statue that we worship sitting in our living room. But, we do have something else...and that's money. I know so many people now that will do and sell just about anything to get a couple bucks. I leave you today with a few bible verses for you to ponder:

I have been in the kitchen all day today making a turkey and all the trimmings. Chet and the kids have been begging for that and I finally caved in. Thankfully it wasn't a hot day out today, so the house didn't get warm with the oven on all day! Everything turned out delicious!
We got storms here last night. We so needed the rain. I slept better than I have in a long time!
I went blinky shopping yesterday at Storrmey's and at Sandy's, so I added a few more. And I got a few new ones today, but will put them up later tonight. Might even go look for more! *S*
Chet and the kids are cleaning the kitchen tonight. That was the deal we made. I cook, they clean..lol. Actually, Brittainy is quite the helper in the kitchen. She is going to be a great cook when she gets older.
My hubby brought home 2 white kittens the other day. They are absolutely adorable. But, like we needed 2 more...lol. That makes 4 now! A friend of his found them in his alley when they were firstborn. The mother had gotten killed, so he took them in and bottle fed them. Then, he decided the kittens needed a home with some kids, so he talked my hubby into taking them both.
I think I'm just gonna relax for the rest of the day, maybe watch a movie and play some games with the kids. I am determined to win Sonic the Hedgehog...hopefully one day:::sigh:::

Well, I had a wonderful weekend! Today it's back to school for us! If the weather is still nice today, we may pack up the school books and supplies and go have school at this little park down the road.
I'm going to clean out the laundry room and reorganize things in there today. I should have the whole house done by the end of this week. At least I got the kitchen and bathroom done last week. That was the most work. The rest of the rooms should be a breeze. I'll be leaving the basement for Chet to do. I don't like even going down there. Gives me the creeps to be underground!
I need to get laundry done today too..yuk! I don't know how we all go through so many clothes. It's crazy! Maybe I should buy some of those disposable gowns and make everyone wear those around the house....hehe.

I had another wonderful day with my children yesterday! We had a picnic at the park and played on the swing set and jungle gym for hours! Never did make it to the pool though. We were having way too much fun to leave the park! After Chet got home, we had dinner, watched some movies and had popcorn! So, I had a wonderful family day!

Yesterday was loads of fun! I took the kids and went to the mall! We had a blast! I ended up spending over 3 times more than planned though! And hubby took the news quite well to my surprise! *S* He really is a sweetie...sometimes! *S* The kids and I had a great time though. We took turns changing into clothes and modeling around. Even Thomas had fun! He usually hates shopping.
I have to go grocery shopping today...yuk! We go through way too much food around here...lol. Chet works, so it will be just me and the kids again. We may go to the pool for awhile...and definitely a picnic at the park.
Sandy made me a really cute Princess blinkie! It's the purple one over in the right column. Isn't it pretty? She is so good to me! *S* I grabbed a couple more blinkies at her site today too. A gal can never have enough blinkies!

I've been out blinkie shopping again! I found some great ones at Heather's and at Sandy's. If you haven't been by, head over that way! Lots of cuties to choose from! I also adopted a Blog Hopper from Mommy Ramblings.
I plan on taking it easy today. No big cleaning jobs until Monday. I'm gonna take the kids to the movies this morning, then out to lunch. We'll probably go to the pool for awhile this afternoon too. The weather was wonderful yesterday. Not hot at all! Maybe fall is gonna come early this year! I hope today is just as nice!
We may go to the mall for awhile too! I'm in the mood for some new clothes! Oh, and shoes! Gotta have plenty of shoes. I have a closet full. I guess you could say I collect them. I have 3 pair that I wear quite often and the rest are mostly dust collectors..lol. But, I just can't buy new clothes and pass up on shoes! I guess it's an addiction!

My kitchen is now sparkling clean and very organized! Now, if I can just keep it that way! I have a couple drawers that it seems like everyone throws stuff in! I could clean them out every other day and still not keep up with it...lol. Today I am gonna tackle the bathroom. I'm still looking for volunteers! *S*
I went to Tea's Hope Chest and grabbed a bunch of new blinkies! She has some really cute ones. I grabbed almost all of them. Yes, I know I'm greedy...hehe. Thanks to Donna for the link. I still can't believe some of the sites I was linked to with the old blinkies! I think all of my links are o.k. now! *S*
We are having some cool weather today! I took my hubby to work a bit ago and had to wear a light sweater. It was a bit chilly! Maybe we aren't going to have any of those hot August nights this year! I can hope anyways!

I got another awesome gift today! Check out the princess over in the right column at the top! Sandy made that for me! Isn't she pretty? At the rate I'm going, I may have to set up a second blog just with gifts...not that I'm complaining! *S* They don't call me a spoiled brat for nothing!
Today I am gonna be doing some cleaning. I'm going through all the cabinets in my kitchen, cleaning and reorganizing. What a chore that's gonna be! Though I really don't think a princess should be doing that sort of work. So, anyone wanta volunteer to do it for me? *S*
I had to take down some of my blinkies last night. I realized by using them I was linking to sites that were promoting things against my beliefs! And no blinkie is worth going against my own beliefs for. So, I'm gonna have to do some blinkie hunting today!

I got my soaps from Jamie's Country Soaps yesterday! They all smell so good too! She is soooo fast with delivery! I tried the cherry mash for the first time tonight and absolutely love it! It smells so yummy! I may have to hide it from my son so he doesn't eat it...lol.

I fell asleep early tonight and of course woke up early...lol. I'm up for the day already! I did get plenty of sleep though!
I'm gonna take the kids to the pool this morning before it gets too hot and hopefully to the park for a little bit afterwards. We really need some rain here. Our grass is dead...leaves are already falling off the trees even due to the heat and lack of rain! There aren't many living plants anywhere around! :( I know I say it almost every day, but I am sooo ready for the fall! Once fall gets here ya won't have to listen to me whining about the weather anymore. Well, at least not until winter! *S* Although last winter was a nice one. We didn't get much snow at all and I didn't even freeze when going outside. We had one really bad ice storm towards the end of winter, but that was it. And where I live, we didn't get too much of that! I know I should be thankful and truly I am, but being a brat I just have to whine some too...lol.
Oh and I added 4 new blinkies to the Blinkies Page just now. I have some really cute ones with images, but they will only look right on light backgrounds! I am having a terrible time with transparency....sigh! There's a cow one inspired by Tania and by lots of requests, a dog one!

I got the cutest little friendship dolls from Melody yesterday! They are on the column to your left! Aren't they adorable? *S* I even got the Moo Stamp of approval from my friend, Queen of the Cows, a.k.a. Tania. How cool is that?
I got some soaps ordered from Jamie's Country Soaps. They should be here Monday or Tuesday and just in time before I run out! Donna got me some soaps from there for my birthday and I am hooked. My daughter who is allergic to just about everything calls it the "miracle" soap...lol. If you haven't tried any of Jamie's soaps yet, you are really missing out. They are awesome! I'm starting to sound like a commercial, aren't I? LOL!
No plans for the weekend. We are all just gonna hang around the house and keep cool. Maybe catch up on some sleep...lol.I am sooo ready for fall. Kansas summers are just miserable!

I was up until about 4:00 this morning chatting with Donna. I hadn't chatted with her for a couple days, so we had a lot of catching up to do! *S*

Well, I was ready for a change, so redecorated my blog! I really love this set! *S* I considered reorganizing everything, so it looked neater, but decided against that. My "real" life is so organized and planned, so it's nice to be able to have a little chaos and mess in my "net" life! *S*
Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I went grocery shopping, did some laundry and that's about it. Chet has to get up for work at 1:00 a.m. today, so I figured I'd stay up and wait for him, so I could see him off instead of dragging my cranky self out of bed that early!
Not a lot planned for today either. I may go over to my parents' house for awhile. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Well, yesterday was quite interesting. I got the kids rooms cleaned out and have tons to take to the women's shelter today! They had even more stuff than I thought! But, at least I got it done!
We had some excitement here as well. My hubby's motorcycle caught on fire. We couldn't get it out, so had to call 911. Anyways, the bike is completely totalled. We don't know yet what caused it, but I am so thankful that Chet wasn't on it when it happened. He had just parked it, started to walk into the house, smelled something and turned around. The thing was up in flames! I feel so bad for him. He loved that bike. :(
I added 2 new blinkies to the blinkies page. I have gotten tons of requests already, so I'm not the only blinkie addict...lol.

I had such a great day with my hubby yesterday. He finally got me to go on a ride with him on his motorcycle. I was a nervous wreck when I got on that thing, but by the time we got back home I was having a blast. At first I was holding on to him for dear life, but I really enjoyed the wind blowing on my face. I'm gonna have to go on another ride soon I think. He has been so sweet lately. (Makes me think what he's been up to..lol) He woke me up late last night and took me for a ride in the car out to the country. We had a great evening together.
It's pretty hot here again today, so I am spending it right here in my a/c. I need to get the laundry done...yuk! But, that's about it. The kids got up early this morning and cleaned up the house for me. They do that most Sundays.
I have some blinkies to make today too. I am so hooked on those. I have a few requests and then will be making some to add to my blinkie page.
My friend, Heather, was out hunting for blinkies and found one she thought would be perfect for me. Just more proof that everyone thinks I am a princess! *S* Thanks so much Heather, I agree! *S*

I finally got a good night's sleep! I went to bed at about 12:30 last night and slept until my hubby woke me up at 10:00 a.m. with a cup of coffee. He can be sweet when he wants to be! *S*

We are having another nice day here! It's a bit warmer, but still not too bad! *S* I took the kids up to the park for awhile this morning. My sister-in-law and her 3 kids met us up there. The kids played for a couple hours, then we came back home. The kids are thinking about going to a movie at noon today, but not sure yet. In the summer we get 10 movie passes for $12, which is a great deal. They are only good for the movies at 9:30 a.m. and at noon though. They aren't the newer movies, but it's still something for the kids to do during the summer that doesn't cost a fortune. *S*
I am gonna get some cleaning done today. I really need to clean out my desk! I have way too much stuff in all these drawers..lol. Chet says I am way too much of a pack rat! It just seems like when I throw something away, a few days later I wish I hadn't...sigh.
I have been making quite a few blinkies lately. I need to get them up on a page so I can share, so maybe I will add that to my to do list! I am so hooked on them. I can only make one at a time though. Even with magnifying them 5 times, it still kills my eyes...lol. My hubby and kids will see me with my face right up to my monitor and say, "Making another blinkie?"

Finally, a beautiful day here today. It's warm, but not hot like it has been. I took the kids to the pool for awhile, then out for pizza! We're gonna go to the park in a little while. We have to enjoy this nice weather, before it gets too hot to be out there again. I know the kids are enoying it..sure beats being stuck in the house all day! I am also planning on a picnic tonight when Chet gets home. I am soaking up every bit of this beautiful day cuz I know tomorrow may not be as nice. The weather man is calling for this weather the rest of the week. But, I think Kansas weather is very unpredictable, so when you get a nice day, you have to enjoy every bit of it.
I am so ready for Autumn. The kids and I go on a lot of nature hikes then. We are also planning a trip to Worlds of Fun in September.

I was chatting last night with Donna about lots of things as usual. We got into a conversation about children and how blessed we are to have them. My oldest will be 15 next month which means only 3 more years until he is a grown man. :( My daughter will be 12 in December and my baby will be 11 in October. It seems like such a short time ago that they were born.
I want my children to grow up to be happy, responsible adults, but at the same time I want them to be my babies. *S* Being a mom is a tough job. God trusts in us to have a baby and raise it in Him to be a loving, caring adult. I pray that through Him, I have and will continue to accomplish that.
I guess I can't stop them from growing up, so will just have to treasure every day I have with them. This is one great thing about homeschooling, I do get to spend some good quality time with my kids every day. When they attended public school, I didn't see them too much except on weekends. With homeschool, we are learning new things together daily.

Well, I am having a terrible bout with insomnia again! I was sooo tired and went to bed early. Then, as soon as I laid down, I woke up. I was irritable and grouchy cuz I really need some sleep! So, of course with nothing else to do this time of night I signed online and came straight to my Blog to check for comments. An old friend had found my blog and left a comment for me. Of course, I went right over to her blog to see what she had been up to. Reading her entry from yesterday brought back some wonderful childhood memories for me. And made me realize, just how blessed I am. Thank you Tania for lifting my spirits! *S* If you need a little pick me up, go visit, As I Count My Blessings.

My daughter has been down with a cold for a couple days, so haven't had time to blog. I come in this morning and half of my images were missing!! Grrrrrrrrr! So, I got them uploaded AGAIN!
Britt is feeling better today though, so I'm gonna be busy catching up after a couple days off. Not much planned, a nice quiet day would be nice!

I always bring the kids, but not the cats.

When we stay with family, I usually help with the cooking. On those few vacations where we stay at hotels, we eat out.

I always wash while I'm away. I relax when I get home.

Drive.

It's always on, but everyone that has it knows not to call it when I'm on vacation unless it's very important. :-)

This is payday weekend, so have been keeping pretty busy, shopping and paying bills! We went to Wal-Mart today and I spent more than I should have, but figured I deserved to be pampered. Then, we came home and ended up ordering pizza for dinner. After a day of shopping, I was too tired to cook..lol.

I never did get to blog yesterday. Every time I tried the server was down...grrrrr!
My hubby has a four day wekend, so we are going to be busy around here. I am sure I can find plenty of things for him to do!
I'm making lasagna for dinner tonight. I don't make it very often, cause it is quite expensive. But, it's one of our faves, so I decided to splurge!

Well, today has just been a blah day! I haven't done much all day and not in the mood to do anything either. I think this insomnia is starting to get to me. I am so tired! Hopefully, tonight I will be able to get to bed at a somewhat decent hour!
I promised the kids ham and Au Gratin potatoes for dinner, so guess I better go get busy on that!

Well, a much better day today! My little guy is feeling much better and his sunburn is healing!
I am quite tired though. I was up late last night, then Brittainy was up early and woke me up, so she could blog..lol. I think she has a new addiction..lol.
Not much going on today, Chet will be home late tonight from his trip to Pennsylvania. the kids are doing their school work and I am just playing on here till someone needs help! :-)

I am feeling so bad today! :( I let my son go outside for about 20 minutes without sunscreen and he has a really bad sunburn on his face! :( I can't believe it burned so bad in such a short time. It is looking a bit better today, but I know it has to hurt! He was up most of the night and is taking a nap now. I just hope it heals quickly! It does seem to be tanning, so hopefully it won't be much longer.
I set up a blog for my daughter yesterday. She has been begging for one for awhile now and I finally caved in! :-) If you'd like to see it, she is at American Girl. I'm sure she'd love to see some comments too. :-)

After the full day yesterday and being up so late last night helping Suzanne with her blog, I am so exhausted!! I think the bed is screaming my name, so may take a nap as soon as we are done with school. the kids have to turn in their President papers today!
I have accomplished quite a bit today though. I got the house all cleaned up and school started on time. Thankfully, we have tons of leftover ribs, smoked sausages and potato salad from yesterday! So, at least dinner will be easy tonight!

Well, I've just been playing on my pc all day today...where does the time go? LOL!
I did get all my cleaning done this morning though at least. No plans for this evening, just gonna relax! :-) We are having a barbecue tomorrow and going out to see the fireworks. My parents are coming over. Chet is doing all the cooking though, so easy day for me. I love the summer holidays, he always takes charge with the cooking...works for me..lol.

Well, it's a Brand New Day! A friend sent me that link and I wanted to share it with all of you! :-) I actually woke up in a great mood today. Well, I am back to being online daily....thank goodness. I about went crazy and those of you that know me, know I don't have far to go! :-) I have spent most of this evening trying to catch up on emails and still have a long ways to go. People sure do seem to get chatty when I'm offline for a few days. Hmm...should I take that personal? LOL!
Today was the final ceremony for our Vacation Bible School. Everything went well. I had a great time helping, but am sure glad to have my evenings back to relax. The kids had a great time and my oldest even helped out with the crafts.

I've had a couple bad days, so haven't even been able to post. I am changing phone services, so am without a phone line for a couple days.
If that wasn't bad enough, I had to go grocery shopping today. That is one task I truly despise. I mean, you have to go to the store, pick the groceries off of the shelf, put them in your cart, then after you get everything you need, you have have to load the groceries on the belt, pay the cashier, put the groceries in the car, drive home, take everything in the house and put it away. And as if that wasn't enough work, then ya gotta cook it. It's a non-ending cycle.
After all that I am ready for a nap...lol.
